The World Peace Choir
The World Peace Choir was founded in 2010 by Gerald Wirth, Artistic Leader of Vienna Boys' Choir and of the World Peace Choral Festival. Since then the choir has been an intercultural project which aims at unifying and inspiring children and youths from all over the world through the beauty of music. Each year during the World Peace Choral Festival Gerald Wirth selects the most talented singers of the festival to join the World Peace Choir. In 2013 the World Peace Choir launched its first tour through China which was supported by Austria´s Federal Ministry of Education, the Arts and Culture and the "Von Einem" Foundation. The young singers had performed in ten cities throughout China such as Beijing, Shanghai, Harbin and Shenzhen. The choir had also already recorded its first CD. In 2016 the World Peace Choir had been opened to individual singers who not only want to be part of a choir for the World Peace Choral Festival, but also want to take part in the festival's activities.
