"Coming together to sing, singing for a better future!"
Coming together to sing, singing for a better future!
As one of the most important choral events in the world, the World Peace Choral Festival aims to provide a platform for the young generation as well as enthusiastic adult choirs of different countries to perform, to learn, to compete, to communicate and to create better intercultural understanding.
Workshops held by renowned musicians give the participants good chances to get in touch with the world top music educators and learn valued methods and superb performance skills which build solid bases for their further development.
Even competition is not the ultimate goal of the World Peace Choral Festival, but to encourage further development of the choirs and their members, the festival provides an open and fair chance for choirs, on their free will and in front of world renowned musicians and music educators, to present themselves in a way of competition. Prizes will be awarded to excellent choirs, conductors and choral members.
Performance on great stages plays an important role for the choirs and its members. The World Peace Choral Festival provides a series of concert halls and historical venues for the participants to unfold their talents and to present their music.
The World Peace Choral Festival was born in Vienna in July 2010 and has been supported by the Austrian federal government authorities, the city government of Vienna, the Vienna Boys Choir, the United Nations Vienna (VIC), UNICEF Austria, NGOs, enterprises and many choral experts around the world.
